Cowbell Brewing announces LCBO release of McNall’s Mission Honey Brown Ale

Blyth, Ontario – Cowbell Brewing Co. is pleased to announce that McNall’s Mission Honey Brown Ale is now available at LCBO locations across Ontario.

McNall’s Mission is the latest in Cowbell’s Founders’ Series, the year-round collection of unique beers named for colourful and remarkable characters from Blyth’s history. McNall’s Mission combines a variety of sweet and savoury brown malts and local raw honey to create a true Honey Brown Ale. The body is smooth, with flavours of dark caramel, baked cookies and honeyed cereal for a soothing finish.

McNall’s Mission is named after former Blyth resident, George McNall. A company scout in WWI, George was one of only two Commonwealth soldiers who were awarded a Military Medal, for “conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty” for bravery behind enemy lines. At age 45, he enlisted again, serving as a dispatch rider in WWII. Upon his return to Blyth, George spent the rest of his life in much less dangerous service to his beloved community.

“We are pleased to honour George McNall on this very special centennial commemoration,” says Steven Sparling, Cowbell Founder & CEO. “Mr. McNall received his Military Medal 100 years ago, on September 23, 1918.”

McNall’s Mission has been a popular brew at the Cowbell Farm and select bars and restaurants since its draught release in August 2017. Now you can find it at your local LCBO and take some home with you.
