This sponsorship ensures that the 25,000-plus attendees to HOPE Volleyball will be able to enjoy locally-made craft beer from Ottawa’s largest brewery.
The annual volleyball tournament, which celebrates its 35th year in 2017, uses the event to raise funds for worthy charities each year. To date they have donated over $3.5 million in support of more than 110 local charities.
“HOPE is a world-class organization and we’re truly excited to be working with them,” says Lon Ladell, Big Rig Brewery’s co-owner and brewmaster. “They’ve done a spectacular job creating a community-focused event that exists to give back. It’s deeply rewarding to know that Big Rig can come alongside HOPE and make a lasting impact on peoples’ lives.”
The 2017 tournament takes place on July 15 at Mooney’s Bay. Registration for teams opens on Friday, April 28th at midnight.
“We’re looking forward to joining everyone at one of the greatest summer parties in the country, all in the name of helping others.”
